“Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility”

Children have a right to be cared for and protected, and protecting them is everyone’s responsibility. At Horbury Bridge Academy we have a duty of care to ensure that all users of the school are kept safe from harm. We are committed to providing a secure and supportive environment in which children can develop and grow. Safeguarding children is an essential part of our holistic approach to ensure that children are protected and that every child reaches their full potential.

All staff have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
Our approach is set out in our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, which is underpinned by the Wakefield Safeguarding Children Partnership. The policy applies to all children and young people regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality or religion and can be found here.
If you have any concerns, you should report them to one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads.
