Behaviour
At Horbury Bridge Academy, our Behaviour Blueprint emphasises a positive and inclusive approach to behaviour management, rooted in our Christian values of Kindness, Courage, and Community. We prioritise recognising and rewarding positive behaviour, using tools like team points, class recognition boards, and our ‘Star of the Week’ certificates to celebrate pupils who live by our values and follow our rules:
Ready, Respectful, and Safe.
Our approach balances clear expectations with empathy, ensuring fairness and consistency for all pupils. When addressing challenging behaviours, we follow a stepped approach with restorative practices to repair relationships and encourage personal growth. For pupils requiring additional support, bespoke behaviour plans are created in partnership with staff and families.
